Posture is Power

Most people underestimate the power of having good, upright posture. You might already know that people get a first impression of you within the first split second that they see you. This is a completely involuntary and subconscious reflex.

We all do it... you do it. You assess everyone you meet within the first moment of laying eyes on them. This all happens before you can even open your mouth and say a word...

So what is it that this other person is assessing?

Yes, you guessed correctly – your body language, or more simply put ... your body posture.

You can immediately tell someone’s frame of mind or emotional state by noticing his or her posture. If someone is feeling insecure or self-conscious it is very easy to notice by the slumping of their shoulders and the way they drop their chin and eye-line... even the way they walk or hold their hands can be a dead giveaway.

What comes to mind when you see someone walk assertively, shoulders back and chin up? Yes, you see confidence and poise, energy and spunk for life!

So which of these is the image you want to project?

What is the first impression you want to make?

Is it one of insecurity or an impression of poise, confidence and energy? Do you want to project that “special something” that is going to make people remember you long after you left the room?

With The Pizzazz Factor I show you how you can project this confident and self-assured image at all times. I show you how you can turn it on when you need it most, no matter how you feel. Even if you are feeling shy or insecure, by knowing how to use your posture and your body language you can make that unforgettable first impression, close that deal, win over his or her heart, leave someone else feeling special... all this is possible when you have the Pizzazz Factor.

Not only does a confident posture give you the power to leave a positive and lasting first impression but it also gives you more energy and often eliminates back and shoulder tension.

So don’t wait any longer – all it takes is a little guidance and some self-awareness and you can also have Pizzazz! Start today by being aware of your posture... straighten up... feel tall, feel confident!

Kind regards

Vanessa Bader

P.S. Anyone can do it... I show you how! Don’t underestimate the power of your posture!
Precious Stone

I think of all people as diamonds.
Some diamonds are still rough and others have been cut and polished. Diamonds can be cut in many different shapes and sizes – but each and everyone is magnificently beautiful and valuable. No matter what the “grade” of that diamond, whether polished or unpolished, all diamonds are special.

You are a diamond. Whether you are still rough and Unpolished or whether you are shining bright – you are totally unique and very precious. Sometimes even t he bright and shiny diamonds get a little murky when they don’t get attention, when they don’t get cleaned and buffed every now and again.

So spend some time with your self, give yourself some well deserved attention. We all need to polish up on our self-image and remember our self-worth. Remember how precious you are.

With the Pizzazz Factor I show you how you can rekindle that elegant, refined, polished diamond that is you.

The Pizzazz Factor helps you become the bright, buffed diamond that you want to be. By just becoming a little more aware of the way you present yourself, the way you treat yourself and others, you have a chance to shine brighter that the brightest star.

You can become the Ultimate you!

You are a diamond - Precious, valuable and unique!

Kind Regards

Vanessa Bader

P.S. Take some time to brush up on your posture, Poise and Presence with the Pizzazz Factor. Improve your self- image and have that unmistakable confidence that say – world I am unique and I am special.
A Perfect day for Gratitude

I know you have not heard too much from me in the last couple of weeks, and that is because I am in South Africa visiting my family and friends :)

It is so very good to be home again, I have not been home to see my family in almost two years and this year I am so grateful for it will be my first birthday home in ten years!

Be Grateful for all the wonderful gifts in life

I often tell you what a great role gratitude plays in your life, and particularly when it comes to having "The Pizzazz Factor"

Today I want to express my gratitude to you for being part of my Pizzazz Factor crowd. Thank you for receiving my emails every week and for taking the time to read what is on my mind.

Sharing my thoughts and ideas with you brings me great joy and satisfaction, and then of course getting your feedback and comments and knowing that I am helping you enhance your charisma, attitude and magnetic presence is the greatest gift of all.

I so often get beautiful appreciative notes back from subscribers to my email tips to share with me how much my Pizzazz Factor program is adding to their lives or what they got out of a given email tip.

You have no idea how much that means to me, and today on my Birthday I want to take a moment to let you know and to thank you for all the joy you bring to my life. You allow me to express my thoughts and share my passions and for that I am ever so grateful!

I am going to take it easy, spend quality time with my family and friends, and savour being between my loved ones on this special day.

Days like today remind me how much I have to be grateful for, and you are a substantial part of the equation!

Have a Wonderful day - I am certainly going to!

Kind and loving regards

Vanessa Bader

P.S. Remember to take a moment everyday and be grateful for all the wonderful things in your life. That sense of gratitude puts a sparkle in your eye and a hop to your step - the things that true Pizzazz are made of!

It never rains but it pours

We all go through different stages in our lives – good and bad, and you have no doubt heard the expression: “It never rains but it pours”.

Whether it is money matters, relationship or family matters, weight or health, a bad day at the office or hey, maybe even a bad month or year... I think almost everyone has at some point or another felt overwhelmed.

Those are the times when you just want to stay in bed and never get up again... you just want to sleep until the bad dream is over. You know you need to get up and start sorting your life out... but where do you even begin?

No matter what it is that has got you in a rut, no matter how big or small, you have to start somewhere.

The best place to start is with something you feel you have some kind of control over. It is always good to start with something simple.

Choose just one small thing that you feel you will succeed in. It might not even be something that is directly related to what the big issue is, but by doing that you are slowly repairing and improving your self-confidence.

Once you have restored some of your confidence the bigger more daunting tasks will start looking less intimidating and you will work your way through and before you know it, you have managed to get yourself out of that “place”. That rut you were in.

The Pizzazz Factor works just like that to restore your self-image and your confidence in your self and your abilities.

By starting with something you have total control over, i.e. the way you carry your body, your over-all posture and then expanding on that with positive body language, a smile and a positive attitude towards yourself, you have taken the first steps to becoming the more confidant, more adored, more attractive you.

See, once you have learnt that you can also have the appearance and presence of a movie star or celebrity, you can also have the confidence of a CEO or a successful business owner, then you immediately start feeling more empowered in all other areas of your life.

You might already be in a position of power but you want to make sure you stay on top of your game. We all need a reminder sometimes, we all fall back into old habits so easily...

Once you apply the principals of the Pizzazz Factor people start reacting to you differently – more positively, and you will feel your self-confidence grow day by day.

So when you feel like life is getting you down and nothing is going right, those days when it seems like it’s pouring and you wish for just a ray of sunlight – your self-image is completely non-existent, and your self-confidence completely depleted... then draw on the principals of the Pizzazz Factor to get you back to the top.

Nourish your soul and your “self” with some self-love and self-respect and somehow everything else will start falling into place.

Kind regards

Vanessa Bader

P.S. No matter what it is that is getting you down, a good place to start is always your self-image and self-respect. The Pizzazz Factor can help you with that. Have a wonderful weekend!
Get in tune

It is amazing how your mood can affect others. The transference of your energy can be much more profound than you think. People are more perceptive to our moods and actions than we sometimes realize. And our moods can be affected by many different things, and fast too. I was quite stunned by what happened today.

I walked into the gym not feeling particularly energetic or jovial. But I turned on my iPod shuffle and got on the elliptical. I usually do anything between fifteen and forty five minutes of cardio. Today I was planning to do twenty-seven minutes of interval training.

As my body started warming up, one of my favorite workout tunes started playing in my ears and before I knew it I was smiling from ear to ear and having a ball. I could feel the energy surging through my body and I couldn't contain that feeling of joy. I am usually very oblivious to the rest of the world when I am working out - I get into the "zone" and I disappear into my own little world. My workout time is "my" time.

Anyway, today was different because I noticed a lady across the room who was looking at me kind of inquisitively. She obviously didn't want to make me think that she was staring because every time I looked at her she would look away. I was feeling very aware that she was looking at me all the time.

I just carried on enjoying my music and having a good old time on the elliptical machine. I was actually having so much fun that after my time there was over I decided to get on the stair climber and do an additional ten minutes before I move on to the body weight section of today's workout.

Still, the lady was staring... but not in a bad way. I finally made eye contact with her and flashed her a big smile. At first she didn't know how to react, but eventually she was smiling back at me while going ahead with her weight training session.

I did not think much of it, until about thirty minutes later when I noticed her approaching me. I took my headphones off and smiled to greet her. She introduced herself and then proceeded to thank me for brightening up her day and making her workout more fun and much easier than she anticipated. She expressed to me that she was feeling very lack luster all day and almost didn't even make it to the gym.

So just the fact that I was having a good time, helped her have a good time. Isn't that great! I have music to thank for my good mood and fun time in the gym today. This experience reminded me of how quickly the right music can put me in the right mood. So this is another tool you can use to put you in a great state of mind to go about your day.

The Pizzazz Factor is about feeling great about yourself as well as making others feel good about themselves. In the Pizzazz Factor I also mention how music can be an excellent way to put you in a great state of mind so you can project that contagious, magnetic and charismatic presence.

Today, without even thinking about it consciously I used my favorite workout music, to put me in the right mood to get the most out of my time, and a bonus was livening up someone else's day.

You can also brighten up others' day by projecting a positive, self-affirming and friendly attitude. Turn on those tunes to get you in tune with your Pizzazz!!

Kind regards

There is a gift that some people have… you know what I am talking about – that ability to charm and attract people wherever they go. I have a couple of friends that are like that. They walk into a room and every one notices, people hang on their every word and they have a way of making you feel good, no matter how crappy your day has been.

This is what Pizzazz is all about!

The ability to attract, the ability to inspire and to make people enthusiastic about almost anything. The Pizzazz Factor is the art of presence, posture, and poise.

Contrary to belief, charisma and charm is something you can cultivate. By starting with yourself and the way you move and act, you can create an air of confidence about you. Everybody wants to be confident… and the best way to become confident is to experience success.

Celebrate your Successes and reap the Rewards

We all have had some degree of success in specific areas in our lives. Your successes might be very different from someone else’s so you never ever want to compare yourself with anyone else. You are unique!

Make a little time for yourself, all you need is about ten to fifteen minutes every day. Sit down and identify the successes in your life. Quite often we totally discard those moments of elation and joy from our memories but the “failure memories” seem to be the ones that stick!

One of the very valuable things you can do for yourself is to reverse that process. Remind yourself of your victories and achievements more often and let those failure memories become a thing of the past. It helps to write your success moments down.

This way you will program your brain to think more positively about yourself. Once you remember the things you are good at you experience that feeling of accomplishment – that is the sensation you want to remember. The feelings you feel when you did great at something.

Now this can be any accomplishment… it doesn’t have to be huge. It only needs to be something that you feel proud of. It can also be an achievement from any time in your life, no matter how long ago or how recent.

Maybe you lost a pound in the last week, or you managed to write one page of the book you’ve been working on. Maybe you came up with a great idea or you completed a challenging task. Maybe you ran a marathon or you learnt to play a song on an instrument. What ever it may be… make sure you give yourself full recognition of it.

Remember that confidence comes from the inside out AND from the outside in – it is a two way street.

The moment we start rewarding ourselves for our achievements we also start getting a sense of gratitude. That is a very important factor in the process of cultivating your Pizzazz; your magnetic presence; your charisma.

So start becoming more aware and enthusiastic about your own achievements, and see how good it feels. You will instantly start feeling that sense of joy and gratitude that is so important in having that undeniable presence and confident poise. That sense of triumph and accomplishment will lead you towards more successes and more confidence.

Through basking in the joy of your achievements you can also get that sparkle behind your eyes that say – I am worth it, look at me world – Here I am!

You have the Power!

Kind regards
Celebrate your Achievements

It is more valuable than you might ever think to remember your past successes. Make an effort to honor and remember your achievements. There is so much power in complimenting yourself.

But don't just remember the achievements, also remember how they made you feel. The pride and elation you felt. The adrenaline pumping through your veins and the vibrant energy shining through your eyes.

Celebrate your Achievements

Remember those moments when you felt truly proud of yourself and your accomplishments. We have all had those moments before, but we are so quick to forget them and instead we remember our failures.

Don't! Let the failures go, and honor yourself and the person that you are. The person that you have become through your failures and successes.

Your Pizzazz Factor shines through the best when you bear in mind to give yourself recognition for the amazing person that you are and for all the wonderful things that you have achieved in your life.

I so often hear from clients: "But there aren't any, I've been a failure most my life". After sitting them down and making them think about it, they realize that they too have achieved an awful lot in their lives, but they have been concentrating so much on their failures, on the negatives, that their successes were forgotten.

Then you wonder why your self-esteem is so low. You inflict that upon your self most of the time. You are doing your self a great disservice. Stop paying so much attention to the comments of others - those who do not have your best interest at heart.

Accept compliments, and praise yourself for your strengths and attributes. That is an important step in regaining your self confidence and believing that you can do anything you put your mind to.

Because you have Pizzazz!

Kind regards
Look inside and out

With the Pizzazz Factor I strive to help you develop a powerful presence... the ability to make great first impressions and to leave lasting impressions.

I give you tools to improve your posture and I show you how to use your positive body language to make others feel totally comfortable in your presence.

I encourage you to look at yourself in a more positive light as to improve your overall self image. An improved self-esteem is what essentially greatly affects our relationships with others and can lead to enhancing all areas of your life - social, professional and personal

All these tools can help you on so many levels, but to be truly radiant and striking - you have to have a certain contentment with your self and your life. You need to feel happy from the inside out.

Happy and Healthy from the Inside Out

Now, let's face it - with all the hustle and bustle of life today, it is very difficult to find quiet "me- time". But it is important to also take some quiet time to do some self-searching. Time to get back to who you are - what your own essence is.

I recently got caught in the same trap that so many of us do... I got so caught up in the cut-throat business side of life that I woke up one morning and realized that I am not my happy self.

That was easy to fix though -

I sat down in the quiet of the early morning with my diary and started to write... I just wrote about nothing and everything and tried to remember what it is that really makes me tick - what makes me happy, and there it was... I remembered who I am and why I do what I do, why I make the choices I make.

Take some time for yourself and take a pen and paper and start to write. Write about who you are - write about the stuff you like about your self and remind your self who is the person under all the chores and responsibilities.

Remember the stuff that you are passionate about and see if you can find time in your week to fit at least one hour of that activity into your schedule.

Maybe you love to paint, or read fiction, or to dance or play an instrument. Maybe you love to knit or garden... what ever it is - don't let it disappear completely in the craziness of your life.

Rekindle the essence of you and incorporate your passions into every day if you can - if not every day, maybe just for at least one hour a week.

You will see that once you make a little time to come back to YOU, that is when you will find true contentment with the rest of your busy life and schedule.

Where there is true contentment and happiness, there is effortless radiance and beauty!

Kind regards

Vanessa Bader

P.S. I encourage you to consciously spend a little time with your self every day - even if it is only ten minutes.

Instantly look and feel younger

"Looking old (whatever age you pick) is in great part related to how we are able to move, or not move." - Paul D'Arezzo, M.D.

Here on the ship I see people every day that look much older than they actually are, and it is mainly because of the way they move. It seems their limbs have lost all mobility simply because they never bother to move their bodies. They walk without picking up their feet... they shuffle along. Most of them have fallen into the trap of living a very stagnant lifestyle. With all the luxuries of modern day living - who needs to do anything physical anymore?

Look and Feel Younger by moving more Energetically

When I talk about moving your body, I am not by any means referring to strenuous exercise, but simply moving your limbs in a natural way. Moving with energy and life can change everything. It can keep your body mobile as well as give you additional energy and love for living.

When you walk with long energetic strides and a good posture you immediately look much younger - and of course you feel younger at the same time. You will feel more energetic and you will feel like smiling. This alone and take years off your appearance!

If your daily job requires you to be seated or stand in one position for most of the day, it is very important that you find a few minutes during the day to move your limbs and also to be aware of your body-posture when you are in these stagnant positions all day.

In the Pizzazz Factor I show you some very simple to do exercises that will keep your body mobile and young looking. I show you how to condition your postural muscles and I practice with you how to walk so you look spectacularly energetic and young. Once you are more aware of this and you apply it to your everyday life, it will become habit so you don't even have to think about it anymore.

You will be amazed at the compliments and comments you will get from complete strangers. This new awareness of your posture and the way you move in general will improve your self-confidence in a way you would never imagine and you will instantly feel and look ten years younger!

Give it a try - You can also have the Pizzazz Factor, it is simpler than you think!

To energy, youth and love for life!

Love and regards

Vanessa Bader

P.S. When you have the Pizzazz Factor, you will instantly look and feel younger and your self-confidence will shoot through the roof because of all the positive feedback you will get from everyone you come in contact with!

I welcome your input :)

Attract Success in your Life

When it comes to being the ultimate, optimal person that you can be, you have to first realize that it is totally within your grasp. You have to know that it is within your ability and power to be that person. You have to believe in yourself.

Concentrate on the solutions, not the Problems

A lot of us spend most of our time thinking about and agonizing over the things we think we can’t do. We ponder on our “failures”. Remember, that whatever it is you spend most of your time thinking about, that is precisely what you are attracting into your life - more of just that. So focus on the negative and you will attract more negative.

In other words, the more you torture yourself over your failures or mistakes, the more you invite and recreate those in your daily life.

Remember that you are not your mistakes, your ‘failures’ are there to steer you towards success. Mistakes are made so that they can be learned from. Use them to guide you as to what not to do next time, and start concentrating on what is the right course of action to steer away from that mistake.

So now by concentrating on the solutions, you are thinking about the positive, you are thinking about what you want, and you are attracting what you want. You are literally pulling the positive into your life, into your reality.

Be a failure breaker - not maker…

If being a magnetic, charismatic, attractive and energetic person is what you want – start thinking about that. Start PICTURING yourself in that way, and you have taken the most important step. That is the first thing you have to do to get Pizzazz.

The Pizzazz Factor will take you the rest of the way. Once you have Pizzazz there is no stopping you, no limit to the person you can be and the things you can achieve!

Believe in yourself – You have the Power!
Kind Regards
Don't take it so personally

It is true that some people are more sensitive than others. Some of us handle rejection really well, and some of us have very thick skins and manage to just shake it off.

Nobody likes rejection, and believe me, I know all about that. Being a dancer and going through audition after audition, I am very familiar with the pain of rejection. Those moments when you look at yourself and you go: "what did I do wrong... what is wrong with me, or why didn't they like me?"

When you go for a job interview, an audition or meet someone special and you get rejected, you don't get the call, or a second date - the first thing you do is look at yourself and look for the flaws in you. You beat yourself up because you are not "good enough".

This is when you need to remember that the problem is not necessarily with you. We all tend to take rejection very personally. But maybe it just isn't the right time, the right job or the right person for you. Nine out of ten times that becomes clear a little further down the road when we have a chance to look back and be objective.

This old saying might be a cliché but I believe it is true: When one door closes another one opens. It is very important that you remind yourself of this when you are feeling down in the dumps, when it seems like a mountain is resting on your shoulders and there is no way out.

It is important to be brave, get up and try again... keep moving forward. When you learn to not take rejection so seriously and so personally, you will see how much easier life gets.

Then it is easier to smile, to radiate and to have Pizzazz. Part of having the Pizzazz Factor? is to be able to look at the bigger picture and be a happier, more content person. When you find that peace within yourself, that knowing that rejection is temporary, everything becomes a little easier.

When you fall down, get up, dust off, and move forward! Try to have fun and remember that there is always something or someone else out there that is the perfect match for you, and if you keep moving forward, you will soon find it!

Kind regards
You are in Charge

Self-image is exactly what the word says - the image you have in your mind of yourself. Your own perception of yourself. If only we can create our own self-image, and not arrive at some conclusion from external sources - which is what we all so often seem to do.

We tend to take all the stimuli around us - comments from strangers, pictures in magazines and images in movies and we draw our own conclusions on our self-image from that. The only problem is - now it is not self-image at all anymore.... It is someone else's idea of what your image should be and that you made personal and are now trying to adopt.

The truth is that you are your self-image and you can create a more positive self-image by starting with the little things like smiling at yourself in the mirror every morning.

Concentrate on the good things about yourself and build on that. In today's society we put way too much emphasis on the negative.

People will see you as you see yourself.

If you see yourself as someone who is 6 feet tall and very powerful - that is what others will see, but if you see yourself as someone who feels terribly insecure and inadequate - that is how you'll be perceived by every one you come in contact with.
