Stay on Track with Fitness and Weightloss Plan
Sunday, 07 October 2007
We all know that staying on track with your fitness and weight-loss plan can be quite a challenge sometimes.  That is exactly why you need to surround yourself with the right kind of people to help you succeed.

Even though family, friends and co-workers can be amazing foundation of support, they also have the potential to push you off track.

You want to actively seek out people that will support and encourage you to keep moving towards your goals and dreams.  There are three types of people that might be able to assist you in your journey.

There is the "Partner in Crime" - someone who is right there next to you along for the ride, who
has similar goals and a similar drive and determination to succeed.  This person is walking
the journey with you...

Then there is the "Role Model" - someone who inspires you, who have maybe reached their goals already and can inspire you to stay on track.  It might be someone you know or even the picture of someone you admire on your fridge.

Last but not least there is "The Fan" - someone who looks up to you... someone who admires you. This can be a great inspiration for you to reach your goals and to get back on track when you have a moment of weakness.

The people you do not want to hang around are the ones that are likely to steer you off track.  Like maybe the co-worker who always offers you potato chips or doughnuts even though he or she knows you are watching your diet.

Maybe the person is your close friend who really loves you but is somehow always in competition with you.  She will encourage you, and even work out with you but the moment she/he sees your weakness she or he will subtly take advantage of it and lead you off track.

Lastly, there is the person who always lectures you about diet and exercise.  This person tells you what to do, when to do it and how and why to do it, but will not do it with you.

Now these people are quite often family so it is not like you can shut them out of your life or not have contact with them... but you want to try and diminish the amount of time you spend with them, and also, try and not take them too seriously - really be aware of what kind of feedback it is you are getting from them and what their intentions are.

If you are aware of these things, it is already easier to deal with it in a rational and more educated way. You can be more objective when you are fully aware of which category the person you are talking to or associating with, fits in to.

The bottom line is... this journey to having that Hot Burning Body you want is much easier if you have people around you that support you and encourage you - so seek them out and eliminate the others as far as possible!

To your Health and Strength
