Why do so many people resort to plastic surgery, Botox and who knows what else these days?
As George Orwell said: "At 50 everyone has the face he deserves".
We all want to look our best and at some point in our lives we realize that we are developing all kinds of wrinkles and lines on our faces. The truth is that the 'face' you use most is the one you are going to get stuck with later in life.
By 'face' of course you know I mean - facial expression...
As you go through life, you have a choice which lines you are going to nurture and develop. Why not choose to make your wrinkles those adorable crow's-feet you get from laughing too much, in stead of those vertical hatchet lines in between your eyebrows or those deep lines on your forehead from too much frowning?
Make it your goal today and every day from now to use your friendly facial expressions, make those your habit.
All the constant scowling and frowning just makes you look old before your time and after some years, even when you are just relaxing - those are the expressions your facial features will display.
Not only that, but research has shown that by drawing your forehead into a sad expression, you can actually start to feel sad. So at the same time - a happy expression can actually make you feel happy. There is definitely a two way connection between your facial expressions and your emotions.
So why opt to feel sad or angry when you can consciously live a happier life by feeling good, and at the same time - age gracefully with your happy face on!
Your level of happiness, success in life and health is directly affected by the quality of your presence. When you live with vigor and you radiate a positive and magnetic presence, you feel younger and more energetic. People are attracted to energy - positive energy!
That is why, with the Pizzazz Factor I share with you very easy to implement principals that can help you cultivate this magnetic presence and charisma that will enhance your quality of life in every area.
When you look around and become aware of the people around you, and you observe each one with their own personal presence, It is funny how you'll notice that unfortunately the majority of people seem lack luster and bored with life.
It is up to you to spice up your life by cultivating skills that gives you energy and mental clarity.
Your presence, the way you carry and present yourself affects everything you do.
Yippee! It is a brand new day - the first day of a brand new year! How exciting and so much to look forward to. I am hoping that this year is not only the beginning of a New Year for you and me, but also a brand new page in a brand new chapter of our lives. Happy New Year!
Let us start the New Year filled with Confidence that this is going to be the best year ever!
On that note - let's talk about confidence - Real Self-Confidence.
What are the characteristics of true confidence?
Let's face it - sometimes you will meet someone that seems to be really confident and on top of things... someone that others seem to look up to, and then they will turn around and belittle and humiliate someone else. He or she will say something horribly cruel or demeaning and you will realize that their confidence is just a facade.
Real confidence does not feel the need to belittle or disparage someone in order to prove a point... or even worse, to prove their own self-worth.
True confidence is gracious and generous, giving and kind... Real Confidence has NO need to prove itself.
Someone with Real Confidence is trust-worthy and reliable, and consistent...
Let us face it... we are all very confident in certain areas of our lives, and then in other areas it is difficult to feel quite so confident. It is true that you are the most confident in your area of expertise, whatever it may be - and when you are in a familiar setting, it is much easier to display true confidence.
To me, the most important area you want to work on being the most confident in is you! When you are confident in your self and self-assured as a person, you can be successful in anything you do.
In Society today we tend to put so much emphasis on physical appearance. There are all kinds of procedures and cosmetics to help us look the best we can.
A little bit of Botox here and some Collagen there, Face lifts and tummy tucks, oh, and don't forget about the rows and rows of skin care products there are to choose from.
Now don't get me wrong - I am not against any of the above-mentioned. We do what we can to stay young and attractive. But the thing is that with all these creams and procedures you won't necessarily be a happier more radiant person.
If you are an unhappy and pessimistic person, no amount of surgeries or creams in the world is going to change the way you see yourself in the mirror or at the same time what others see when they look at you.
The thing is, what we most often do not realize, is that your physical appearance can be greatly influenced by your attitude, personality, your poise, your inner self and most importantly - self-acceptance....
I am about to tell you something that you probably don't want to hear, but knowing this might make the difference between success and failure. This seemingly "bad" news is what might give you the strength and inspiration to reach your weight-loss and fitness goals.
In today's world of technology and quick fixes, that is what everybody is selling - they promise you instant results and "magic solutions", but when it comes to getting in shape there is no such thing!
The more realistic you can be about your weight-loss goals and the processes, time and requirements to reach those goals, the more likely you are to succeed. That is why I have this little bit of advice for you today.
Surely you have heard the expression - "You are what you eat."
This is actually quite the misconception. It should be more like - you are what you ate a week or so ago...
Your hands are tools of expression. Just like with your facial expressions, your hands are very instrumental in expressing how you feel. You use your hands every day as a mode of expression - they are huge part of your body language signals.
Not only that, but we use our hands every day for hundreds of tasks. Your hands hold your pen to write, they have to move fast to type, they open bottles and jars... maybe you are a massage therapist and you use your hands to flow healing energy and you need gentle strength...
